Path of Light Uganda

Our story

A village in rural Uganda is battling cycles of hunger, floods, and poverty. This is how Path of Light Uganda began—and why your help matters.

Where we started

In a small village in eastern Uganda, families work incredibly hard—yet life can still feel impossible. Seasonal floods wash away food stores and damage homes. Prices rise. Jobs are scarce. When the harvest fails or illness hits, children often become the first to suffer: school stops, meals shrink, and hope feels far away.

Path of Light Uganda exists because no child should be forced to choose between learning and eating. We are a small, human-scale effort—built on relationships, trust, and showing up consistently.

Floods can destroy what families saved for months.

What we learned

Big change starts with small, reliable support: meals you can count on, school fees paid on time, clean water when sickness spreads, and quick help when emergencies hit.

  • Education breaks the cycle—especially for girls and younger children.
  • Nutrition improves attention, growth, and immunity.
  • Clean water and medicine prevent small issues from becoming life-threatening.

Every child deserves to be seen, protected, and given a real chance.

Our promise

We will treat every donation with respect. We will focus on what matters most: keeping children learning, fed, healthy, and safe. And we will share updates so you can see the difference your support makes.
